So Bruna of the blog StyleMile and I were asked to return to the Ultimate Style Expo to serve as guest judges on the Street Style Blogger Competition!
We chose Jordan Blackwell of Lil Miss JB Style. Loved the monochromatic look!
Thanks Shaneia for inviting me 🙂 I enjoyed myself.
This model rocked the runway.

These pics are super dark. Forgive the lighting. Yall like my dress, though? It’s from Forever 21 and so is the necklace. I shop there so much that I think I should just start working there. Ha.

Jireh (at the end, far left) of the blog Fashion Meets God didn’t win, but she looked amazing. Her dress was courtesy of Thrift on the Ave in Detroit.

Such an amazing personality and she’s wearing vintage Betsey Johnson.
It was an amazing show!
The stylist behind it all. Thanks Jessica for the invite.
Model Behavior
I was in love with my goth chic outfit for that evening. The dress is from Forever 21 and I paired it with a lace up boot and a turban.

Michigan Fashion Week
The models did a wonderful job. They also walked in the main show in Southfield.
I found some style stars in the building.
(Left) Simple and chic. The points on her shoes and earrings, deliberate? Either way i’m loving the cohesion.
(Right) Haute Hijabis in the building.
I loved this model’s sheer paneled top. She said it was originally lingerie but she wore it as a top. Stylish creativity at its best.

(Left) A designer from Paris and his work. He said my style inspired him 🙂
It was a full crowd at the DDF Kickoff Party.
I was G’ed up for the evening. Rockstar lifestyle all the way.
My blazer is from Torrid and pants from Rainbow Clothing. My earrings are handmade.
I found some fashionistas and fashion-misters in the audience.
I love to see rock star glam. Lined stockings and a bad ass mohawk.
Striped and plaid. And all black everything with an awesome top hat.
Best dressed gentlemen of the evening. He even designed his own wooden bow-tie. Straight awesomeness.
The beautiful models of Ashley Stewart in Lathrup Village , Michigan
I was invited to the launch and fashion show of Ashley Stewart’s new Signature Style Line.
Curvy model, Tiffany, rocks pieces from the new collection. The pop of colors are a nice way to dress business chic without using the traditional black and grays.
This another one of my favorite looks. Curvy model, Liza, works her black and white dress, adds a belt and handbag with a hint of red and gold. And her heels were killer. Werk, Liza.
This dress and jackets comes in two colors. You can wear it with a pair of kitten heels or knee high boots.
They had giveaways. (Left) This woman won a $100 gift card. (Right) The manager and store volunteer gives away T-shirts.
(Left) Liza gives me a huge hug. (Right) Kimberly looks oh-so-fab in her rocker vest.
(Left) Kimberly and I Pose. (Right) It was Kimberly’s daughter’s 8th birthday. Little fashionista.
My blogger gear and Outfit Of The Day. You like?
The makeup artists needed some love too 🙂
Great job ladies. And thank you Ashley Stewart for allowing me to cover the event.

Look who I bumped into…Model, Christina Mendez. I did an interview with her just a week before. Check that out.
While I was in Baltimore helping with Curves Rock Weekend, I briefly heard about Plus Night Out in NY happening in September. It is a plus-centric event that happens during Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week…Curvy Style!
Ashley Stewart was the corporate sponsor and also was included in the runway fashion line up. The event was hosted by the fabulous Joanne Borgella (above) from Nuvo TV’s “Curvy Girls”.
I got to see my boo, Tionna Smalls, author and MTV television host. I also have an interview with her, check that out too!
I got to meet popular curvy fashion bloggers (Left) GoldenLady25 A.K.A Essie G. and OutOfTheCorner (right).
(Left) A model from the show. (Right) Two audience members.
The power pack. Heeeey Anita 🙂 Fashionistas to the max!
My outfit was fab. I had on a sequenced lapel blazer from Rainbow Clothing. The pants are also from Rainbow Clothing.
Can’t wait for next year ladies 🙂
Islamic Holiday: Eid Weekend 2013
Posted August 16, 2013
on:On Eid day 1, I wore the Swak dress I won from SexyPlus Clothing in Toronto! Thanks again, Stephanie. I got the stripped jacket from Torrid, and the gorgeous necklace from Victorious Me.
Yes. I am straight flexin’.
My family, nieces, and friends.
My friends and I. Pose.
We are being sooo extra. lol.
Eid day 2. We slayed at the park. A whole of array of colors. Taste the rainbow.
Posing. And acting super de duper silly.
Eid day 3. My OOTD at the block party. Raaaawr!
Hey look. I spotted a stylistah. Her name is Nurah. Her face is beat and her outfit is very pattern chic.
No. We aren’t celebrities…well, at least not yet.
I had to beat my own face on Eid day 4. I think I did a pretty good job.
Some more of my gorgeous friends. We had fun at the concert.
So I had this idea. I said, “let’s model walk into the camera.” We did. This was the first shot. Epic. We slay!
I had too much fun with my friends and family during our holiday. My mind wasn’t on work, or school, or chores, or any pressures of life. I just got dressed and enjoyed myself. I hope you enjoyed the pictures as much as I had fun snapping them.

SexyPlus Clothing
Toronto, Canada
I was pulled on stage by Nikki Clarke, the fabulous host of the Fuller Woman Expo. I was excited. I ended up winning a $250 shopping spree to SexyPlus Clothing. I am from Detroit, and I had no idea what kind of clothes they had. I assumed from the name that it was a lingerie store. Boy, was I so wrong.
I thought the store was in walking distance from Dundas Square. The sun burnt right through me on the third block. I had forty bucks to my name in Canadian currency, so I hailed a cab. Whew.
I hopped out the cab after another six blocks, and finally, I was at my destination.
It was Sunday, and I didn’t have a phone. I was praying they were still open. And they were! Doesn’t the outside look classy and sophisticated?
This is what you see when you first walk in. The counter has some wonderful pieces of jewelry for sale and the dresses on the display and in the window are beautiful (and neat). Along with the beauty of this spot, the smells and scents were amazing, aromatic. I felt like I was on an island.
This is the back of the store. SexyPlus Clothing has sexy lingerie, accessories, shoes, blouses, high-end dresses, and gowns. They have it all.
This is one the dresses that I tried on. I love it and it loved me. I didn’t end up getting this one though 😦
The best part of trying on all–and I mean all–of SexyPlus Clothing’s dresses was the fabulous employee, Sabrina. She was–I know–by far the best saleswoman I ever had. She helped me accessorize, she was attentive to my needs as a customer, and we had an awesome conversation about everything in that thirty minute duration. Thank you Sabrina.
Two Stylistah’s. Sherriece (left). And (right) Ophilia Alleyene, a model in the show. Both were too gorgeous.
I got to take a photo with the owner, Stefanie Augusteijn-Campbell of SexyPlus Clothing. Thank you for the opportunity to show off your clothes in the states.
Go check out and buy from SexyPlus Clothing @ https://sexyplusclothing.com/
Great style, great quality, SexyPlus Clothing rocks!!!
